Flynqy Pilot Training is under new management

Over the past 19 years, current owners Lothar and Doris have grown and developed Flynqy Pilot Training, taking the school from a simple training facility to an Approved Training Organisation. They've navigated us through some difficult challenges during this time, our relocation following the closure of Plymouth Airport and the Covid-19 pandemic to name just a few, but we've also celebrated many successes and trained countless pilots under their guidance!

However, they've now taken the difficult decision to take a step back and retire. As of 1st April 2025, we will be under new management, with the school's current Operations Manager, Zara, and her partner, George, acquiring the school.

Lothar said:

"I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to all staff, members and stakeholders who have supported me during my 19-year custodianship of the flying school. Without your support and commitment, which has been invaluable, we wouldn't have succeeded. Flying has been a passion and addiction for much of my life, and I hope this was always felt by all.

However, after being advised by my doctors to take it easier, I've made the difficult decision to retire this year. With mixed emotions, I hand over the company to Zara and her partner, George. I am confident they will carry on the flying school with the same passion, and I wish them the best of luck on their journey ahead.
