Winter Operating Hours, Night Arrivals and New Security Protocols

Please be advised that we are currently operating in accordance with our Winter Operating Hours, 0900 - 1700L. All GA arrivals must arrive by the official sunset time promulgated for Cornwall Airport Newquay to allow sufficient time to taxi, park and shut down before official night. For arrivals or departures outside of Flynqy Pilot Training’s published opening times or after published sunset times, pilots must request PPR at least 48 hours prior to their intended arrival or departure, and all requests are subject to approval. This is to allow sufficient time for staff and lighting for the General Aviation Parking area to be arranged in accordance with airport safety and security protocols.

Please note that to bring the airport in line with the latest Department for Transport (DfT) Security Regulations, the airport is undergoing a security upgrade. All arrivals and departures must be let landside or airside by an authorised pass holder. Therefore, a team member must be on-site to accommodate all arrivals and departures. Where this is outside our published opening hours, an additional charge of £50 per hour will be incurred.
